Introduction of the parent company
Our parent company Alpiq (formerly Aare-Tessin Ltd. for Electricity) is an independent Swiss provider of services related to energy production, trading and sales as well as energy technology with a strong market presence throughout Europe. Alpiq has been doing business since 1894.
The fully-owned subsidiary Alpiq Trading engages in financial and physical energy product trading on the most important energy exchanges and liquid over-the-counter (OTC) markets across Europe. It leverages its core competences in electricity trading to successfully trade in gas, coal, oil products and certificates on commodity markets. It also buys and sells standard, standard-related and structured products.
Alpiq Csepel Business
Alpiq Csepel Business is owned by one of Europe's leaders in energy trading, the Swiss-based Alpiq. The Group comprises three companies based in Budapest, Hungary: Alpiq Csepel Kft., the owner of the Csepel II CCGT power station; Alpiq Csepeli Szolgáltató Kft., which performs the operation and maintenance tasks at Csepel II Station; and Alpiq Csepeli Erőmű Kft., which operates Csepel I, a public utility service business.
